Description: This program provides knowledge and hands-on training with professional medical equipment to prepare students as Phlebotomy Technicians. Phlebotomy training introduces students to the basic procedures used for obtaining blood from veins and capillaries. Students learn the basic principles of blood drawing, identification of color-coded tubes, practicing blood drawing on artificial arm, sites of venipuncture, and skin puncture.
Entrance Requirements:
Class Time/Duration: 10 weeks / 10 to 11 hours per week / evening classes
Additional Information: Students who successfully complete the program will be eligible to take the NHA’s Phlebotomy Technician Certification Exam.
