CERTIFIED PHARMACY TECHNICIAN (PHARMTECH)

Description: This program is designed for individuals who are customer friendly and interested in pursuing a career in the rapidly growing pharmacy industry. Students are taught how to prepare medications, provide exceptional customer service, and perform general administrative duties in a pharmacy setting while preparing for the nationally recognized Pharmacy Technician Certification Examination. Successful completers have an opportunity to secure employment with pharmacies in retail, hospitals, clinics, and other settings.


Entrance Requirements:


  • Required TABE entrance exam to determine eligibility
  • High School Diploma or High School Equivalency
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug test, and physical exam
  • No criminal history.


Class Time/Duration: 15 weeks / 23-34 hours per week / day classes


Additional Information: Students who successfully complete the program will be eligible to take the NHA’s CPhT Certification Exam.
