Description: This program is designed to help native Spanish-speaking students gain employment as Home Health Aides. Students will learn the essentials of home and personal care, including basic housekeeping and how to support activities of daily living (e.g., feeding, bathing, dressing) in order to assist the elderly and homebound in their homes. It includes a Home Health clinical experience. Program instruction (lecture/lab) is delivered in Spanish. (Textbooks and other materials may be in Spanish).
Entrance Requirements:
*New York State Clearance and fingerprinting will be required for employment.
Class Time/Duration: 8 weeks / at least 12 hours per week / evening classes
Additional Information: Completion of this program will result in a New York State Home Health Care Certification.
Train as a Home Health Aide with classes taught in Spanish. Learn essential caregiving skills, gain clinical experience, and prepare for New York State certification to begin a rewarding career supporting the elderly and homebound.
